Two extreme ends of sewage pump performance parameters

Sewage pump is named after its function. In fact, rubber lining slurry pump can be used pretty well as a horizontal sewage pump. In dealing with industrial sewage, rubber lining slurry pump is widely used as this sewage has acid or alkali materials. Rubber lining pump has rubber sheath and metal impellers. It not only achieves high pressure and high efficiency as metal pump does, but also resist corrosion very well with the help of its rubber, which is proved in the practical experience of Weihu Pump’s cases. When dealing with city sewage, a filter screen is generally added in front of the sewage treatment pool to hold back the fibers or other winding materials ahead of pump inlet, prevent it from entering pump chamber, so that the pump can work better for a longer time.

Two extreme ends of sewage pump:

1. Flow quantity range: generally Q=0.2~10000m3/h. But now it is on a trend to go to two extremes. The max flow of submersible sewage pump produced by ABS Pump Company in Switzerland is 25000m3/h, while the minimum flow of submersible sewage pump produced by Spain pomper, Elie Company is 0.02m3/h.

2. Head: generally h=10~100m, but it obviously tends to develop toward two extreme ends. The max head of submersible sewage pump from American paco is 150m, while American disc company h=400m. But the minimum head of submersible sewage pump from Japanese EIM electric machinery company is 1m.

3. Motor power: motor power of submersible sewage pump is generally 1~600kw. The minimum power of some pumps from Spain Company is 0.08KW, while Switzerland ABS Company has pumps whose motor power can be as large as 900KW. 

4. Max size of solid materials that can pass through: generally, the max diameter of solid object that is allowed to pass through a submersible sewage pump is 50~150mm. Germany water Pump Company has produced submersible sewage pump that allows solid objects as large as 35mm in diameter to pass through. American Disc Company’s submersible pump allows solid objects as large as 460mm in diameter to pass through.
