Basic introduction of self-priming pumps

self priming sewage pump, just as its name implies, takes water in by itself.
The pump should be filled with water in its case before it starts, unless it has stored enough water inside beforehand. When it has started running, its impellers will rotate with high speed to make the water in the channel of impellers flow toward the spiral case. Meanwhile, vacuum is created at the entrance of the pump, leading to the open of check valve. The air in suction pipe will enter the pump and moves on to the outer rim through impeller channel. Under the effect of negative pressure, water will be drawn into the pump. When the pump has started to send out water, you don’t need to add water into the pump anymore. That’s why it is called self-priming pump.
Self-priming pump is also a kind of self-prime centrifugal pump. It features compact structure, easy operation, stable running, simple maintenance, high efficiency, long service life and strong self-priming capacity, etc. You don’t have to install a bottom valve on the pipe line, but only need to make sure a certain amount of priming liquid has been stored inside the pump before it starts working. Different fluids can be pumped by self-priming pumps made of different materials.
With some centrifugal pumps and rotary vane pumps, you have to add water into the pump cavity before starting them. The water in the cavity helps to form an airtight space. When you start the pump, negative pressure will be generated inside the pump, with the effect of which, water will be pumped out from water source. For example, hand-pressed wells are not self-priming, so if you want to get water, you have to press it with hand time and again. That is troublesome.
Product recommendation: self-priming sewage pump, submerged sewage pump, WQK non-clog sewage pump.
