The operation methods to make fountain pumps perform their best

How to use the fountain pumps correctly to take full advantages of them?
Some necessary check should be made before starting a submersible pump. Is the pump shaft rotating normally? Does it get stuck sometimes? Are the impellers at normal position? Are there cracks on cables and plugs? Are they scratched or broken, etc.? Pay attention to observe the variation of voltage when the pump is running. The operation voltage is generally controlled within 5% larger or smaller than the rated voltage. Besides, the location of pump in water is of utmost importance. It had better be hung vertically where there is enough water of good quality and no slurry. Do not put it horizontally, otherwise it may sick into the mud or the pump inlet may be clogged by suspending materials, leading to sharp reduction in flow quantity or even no flow at all.
Self-prime pump had better work in places of good ventilation, so that heat can be dissipated quickly to bring down the temperature of motor. Otherwise, the motor is easy to get burned when the pump works for a long time. For example, when a farmer was using a self-prime pump, he didn’t take off the plastic film covering the pump motor, as a result of which the motor became over-heated and its coils got burned out. In addition, before starting, definitely remember to check the water storage inside the pump case. If not, not only the self-priming performance of the pump will be influenced, but the shaft sealing parts are easy to get burned. In normal condition, the water pump will send out water 3~5 minutes after it starts. If not, stop it immediately for trouble-shooting.
