Model selection is of great importance in terms of submersible pump. A suitable model should be chose according to the actual condition of water source, the working time, and the quantity of water need to be pumped. Starting

1. Submersible pump with motor power lower than 11kw can be started directly. Those with motor power higher than 13kw shall be used in combination with step-down starting cabinet to protect the pumps, make them work safely.

2. When starting a submersible pump, to avoid the rotor of submersible pump from jumping upward instantly, and to reduce the load in starting, we should move the outlet valve to three fourths point of its movable distance, leaving a clearance of one fourth for air discharge, and slowly open it when the pump is started and water is coming out. The valve should be kept as a position appropriate for the operating point of the water pump.

3. When the pump begins to run after starting, we should pay more attention to supervise it and observe the change of water level; make sure the pump works within operating range. The submersible pump only starts normal running after it has been running stably.

4. When the submersible pump has been working for 5 hours for the first time, stop it and measure the heat insulation resistance quickly, and let it continue to work only if measured value is large than 0.5MΩ.

Running

1. The submersible pump shall work at designed operating point, where the axial force is neither too large nor too small. Research on submersible pump finds out that the pump works most economically, reliably and efficiently at the designed operating point.

2. The submersible pump shall take an overall check after every 8 hours of operation. We should check if the read on any meter changes, does any node on the circuit become hot, is the sound of the pump normal, it the current in normal working larger than the rated value on motor label.

Stopping the pump
