Agricultural water pump installation notes and trouble shooting methods

The requirement for installation of agricultural irrigation pump is strict. Firstly, foundation of the water pump must be stable and shorten the length of suction pipe as far as possible. Secondly, suction culvert should be sealed and reliable. Bottom valve and rubber pipe should be fastened by insurance rope. If water source is channel, bottom valve should be more than 0.5 meters above the bed and net should be used to prevent debris into the pump. Thirdly, in pump transmission belt, tight side of the belt should be in a lower place to improve transmission efficiency. Rotation direction of pump impeller should be the same as the direction of arrow.

Three points should be paid attention at pump inspection

(1) Pump shaft should be flexible to rotate without impact sound; there is no obvious shaking of pump shaft in radial direction and enough lubricating oil should be added.

(2) To check if water hose is damaged or not. If there is any crack should be timely repaired. To check if there is any loose on the fastening bolts and tighten the loose bolts.

(3) Insulation of motor winding and cable of submersible pump must meet the requirements.

Trouble shooting methods

(1) If the pump does not suck water or water, the reason of most of them is that bottom valve is jammed and filtering part silted up, suction head too high or suction pipe leaks and impeller channel silted up. The corresponding measures should be carried out to solve these problems.

(2) If pipe leaks water or air, the reason may be that bolt is not fastened at installation. If leakage is not serious, cement paste can be coated in the leaky place and fasten bolt by wrench; if leakage is serious, the pipe must be re-installed.

(3) If pump is strenuous vibration, the reason may be that electric rotor is unbalance, coupling bad combination and bearing wear and bending; or relaxation and fracture of rotational parts or unstable pipeline support. Adjust, reinforce, align and change the components according to specific conditions.
