Key points for purchase and usage of submersible pump

Submersible pump plays an important role in the production and life. The following points should be paid attention in the pump use.

I. Pay attention to the model, flow and head when purchase submersible pump. If the specification is not suitable, water yield will be not enough and cannot exert the efficiency of the unit. In addition, determine the direction of motor rotation. Earth leakage circuit-breaker should be installed to prevent electric leakage of submersible pump and electric shock accident.

II. Cable should be overhead and power cord should not be too long when install small-size submersible pump. Do not apply force to the cable when the unit is running underwater to avoid power cord fault. Do not sink the submersible pump to the mud, or the motor winding will be burned due to poor heat dissipation.

III. Avoid starting the pump at low pressure. Difference between the value of power supply voltage and rated voltage should be within 10%. Excessive voltage will cause motor overheating and burn the winding, while lower voltage will reduce the rotate speed of the motor.

IV. Do not let water pump operate overload for a long time, do not pump the water containing a mass of suspended sediment, dehydration running time of the pump should not be too long to avoid burning the motor. The operator must observe if the value of the working voltage and current is within the stipulated number on the nameplate at any time when the unit is at operation. If the value is not satisfied with the requirement, stop the unit to find out the reason and troubleshoot it.

V. Check the motor regularly. If there is crack on the lower cover, rubber seal ring is damaged or out of operation, it should be changed or repaired timely to prevent water infiltrate into the machine.
